Costes X Liaigre Capsule Collection

A selection of furniture and lighting pieces created for Le Costes in Paris by Christian Liaigre.

In 2015, Jean-Louis Costes entrusted Christian Liaigre with the layout and decoration of the newly acquired Hotel Lotti. An elegant address located on Rue de Castiglione, nestled between the Tuileries Garden, Place Vendôme, and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, this luxury hotel was once the preferred destination of the Duke of Westminster and numerous celebrities.

The project also aimed to connect the spaces of Hotel Costes (designed by Jacques Garcia in 1995) with those of Hotel Lotti and a more recent third hotel located on Rue du Mont Thabor, consolidating the three establishments under a single brand: “Le Costes,” accessible through a spectacular entrance on Rue de Castiglione.

This major undertaking marks Christian Liaigre’s final achievement. Inaugurated in the early 2020s, Le Costes embodies the art of living and timeless refinement that contributed to the success of the architect-decorator and his studio. While Jacques Garcia’s decoration for Hotel Costes exudes a slightly theatrical style, Christian Liaigre conceived a more restrained approach, drawing inspiration from both a neo-classical Parisian mansion and the loft spirit.

From the lobby to the various suites and rooms, all the furniture was designed specifically for this project. Today, some of the creations born from this collaboration are brought together in the exclusive Costes X Liaigre capsule collection. In agreement with Jean-Louis Costes, Studio Liaigre carefully selected several iconic pieces of furniture from the Costes collection, each expressing the Parisian and cosmopolitan spirit of this 5-star hotel, which redefines the repertoire of luxury hospitality. These pieces reflect the Studio’s aesthetic vocabulary and creative choices: simplicity and clean lines for visual rest, furniture comfort and ergonomics, noble materials, and meticulous attention to detail.

Castiglione Sofa

Designed to invite relaxation, this large sofa can be found in the boudoirs or dressing rooms of many Costes’ rooms. It comes in two versions: a straight sofa or a corner sofa. Its design exudes sobriety, combining tufted leather with silk or mohair velvet, adding a touch of sophistication. The sofa rests on a blackened wood base.

Castiglione Ottoman

Combining tufted leather and blackened wood, this ottoman complements the Castiglione line composed of two sofas: a corner sofa or a straight sofa. This simple yet elegant object punctuates the living space and invites various design possibilities.

Carousel Side Table

Inspired by gentle natural shapes, this side table is enhanced with a high-gloss black lacquer finish, creating a surface that reflects light gracefully. The Carrousel side table is found in many rooms and suites and can be placed near an armchair or sofa, serving as either a side table or nightstand.

Mont-Thabor Armchair

Ideal for living rooms or bedrooms, this spacious armchair encourages conversation. Completely clad in leather, it rests on a black wirebrushed oak base.

Rivoli Reading Lamp

Present in the Costes’ lobby and rooms, this black varnished patinated brass reading lamp offers adjustable lighting, making it the perfect companion for our reading sessions. Its graphic lines and timeless design have already made it a classic piece.

Cambon Chair

Installed around the dining tables in the hotel suites, this chair combines simple lines with an elegant mix of noble materials: black wirebrushed solid oak for the frame, woven straw for the backrest, and leather upholstery for the seat. Modern and spirited, this chair reinterprets the codes of classicism.

The capsule collection is available across all Liaigre showrooms.
