Above it All

The Residences at The Detroit EDITION define luxury downtown living from a rarefied vantage point.

There’s a rhythm to Detroit that can’t be bottled—an energy that hums from historic architecture, local art, and the echo of a Tigers crowd at Comerica Park. For those who’ve watched the city evolve into a playground for creativity and culture, the arrival of The Residences at The Detroit EDITION on Lower Woodward feels like a natural extension of that spirit and an exclusive invitation to settle right in the heart of it all.

Detroit has always been a city built by makers. From Motown to modern design, there’s a conscious drive at play in Motor City, always progressing, refining, renewing. That legacy continues along Woodward Avenue, where the skyline tells stories of rebirth and reinvention. Hudson’s Detroit, the new landmark where the J.L. Hudson’s Department Store once stood, anchors that story. And perched above it all, The Residences at The Detroit EDITION imparts an extraordinary opportunity to live above the pulse, overlooking a city that moves with purpose and pride.

Designed by SHoP Architects with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg, the 96 high-rise condominiums offer more than just iconic architecture; they celebrate Detroit’s view of itself. Ranging from one- to four-bedroom residences, each is bathed in light via panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, many peering directly into Comerica Park. Imagine summer evenings when the sunset catches the skyline and the crowd down below erupts; it’s not just an epic viewpoint, it’s participation in the city’s heartbeat.

Inside each residence, artisan craftsmanship echoes Detroit’s design heritage. Natural materials, such as stone, rich woods, and bronze detailing, create a sense of permanence and artistry. Every element feels intentional, from the seamless Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchens to the spa-like bathrooms that rival luxury resorts. Over 14,000 square feet of private amenities unite calm and community: expansive terraces that watch the river shimmer, a serene pool and hot tub, a club room for conversation and connection, a sound studio and multi-sports simulator for moments of play.

Still, what truly distinguishes living at The Residences at The Detroit EDITION is the singular character of its context. Step outside and Detroit opens up like a curated collection of experiences: Fresh-roasted beans from Madcap Coffee Company precede an afternoon of exploring contemporary works at the Detroit Institute of Arts or immersive installations at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. Enchanted evenings unfold with a live performance inside the legendary Fox Theatre, or dinner at Le Suprême, followed by a stroll through Nick Gilbert Way, alive with seasonal programming.

The soon-to-debut EDITION address is one that ties luxury to locality, cultivating a refined lifestyle that remains connected to the city’s creative core. Detroit’s cultural scene has never felt more magnetic—on any given night, the city hums with activity, from concerts at The Masonic Temple to impromptu jazz sets in Corktown. At its center, Hudson’s Detroit stands as a symbol of progress, encompassing homes, restaurants, and event spaces that bring people together.

Beyond exceptional architecture and amenities, a coveted key to The Residences at The Detroit EDITION presents intimate attunement to Detroit’s innovative pulse, its ambition, and its authenticity. New owners are afforded a front-row seat to a city that is redefining modern luxury on its own terms. Because Detroit doesn’t follow trends. It builds them.
